Kane Baxter-Smith - Atlantic Oil

Kane is a motorsport enthusiast who has always loved V8s, which he says drives his motivation to race the same circuits. He prepares his own race cars and has now built two cars out of three he’s owned.

He says he is very lucky to have the support of his wife Pam and family who are always behind him and enjoy watching him race. He prepares his own race cars and has now built two cars out of three he’s owned. Kane has trackside support from a mix of mates and family, with Pam managing the crew. Kane says he is very lucky to have Broadside Racing provide engineering and trackside support since 2013 and has had a great time at some of Australia’s best circuits. Kane was the 2007 Rookie of the Year and took 2nd place in the modified B class at the Dirt Circuit Championship at Roxby Downs in South Australia. In 2012 he reached 4th place in the Queensland Saloon Car Series Championship. The following year he placed ninth in the National Saloon Car Championship, and in 2014 he came 2nd in the Australian Super Six Touring Car Championship.
