Ottey Offroad Racing - Crookwell Gravel Pit Challenge
cold and wet weekend in the dirt proved successful for the team, earning
poll position after qualifying fastest on Saturday mornings prologue.
Maintaining a high position throughout the weekend, it came
down to the last heat on the Sunday where our luck would change.
After gaining the outright position due to a DNF by Glen
Spizzo - an unfortunate meeting with a tree and a broken arm, we were
let down by a gearbox failure and were forced to retire from the race.
However our previous times and position were enough to gain us 3rd in
class for the event.
With the next event only a month or so away the race is on
to upgrade the gearbox and prepare for the Hedweld Milbrodale Mountain
Classic on the 13th and 14th of June, held in the Hunter Valley
south-west of Singleton. The teams favourite event and one that
spectators will enjoy with 4 car starts and the coveted Man of the
Mountain title up for grabs.
